- Grains/Starches — provide dense source of energy, quenches hunger, and may provide “comfort”.
- Protein — helps to fill you up and is used by the body to build and repair. Meat isn’t the only option. You can choose yogurt, cheese, milk, eggs, beans, nuts, and tofu. If you are eating whole grains, there’s some protein in that too.
- Vegetable/Fruit — provides a dense source of vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Frozen or canned are okay.

Food cravings are signals that your body has an unmet need. When we become too stressed, too scared, or too busy for self-care, our bodies do a fabulous job getting our attention. Here are some questions to ask yourself:
- Did I skip a meal?
- Am I getting enough sleep?
- Have I been moving my body regularly?
- Am I trying to be a perfectionist (especially now with so many unknowns)?
- When is the last time I connected with someone who cares about me?
We are all in a unique time. Give yourself the compassion and care you deserve. Remember to Nourish, Move, Rest, and Love your body.
