Guest Pass and Visitor Pass Policies

Guest Passes

1) Daily Guest Pass
Cost – $8 per day per person (limit of 2 guests per day)
Terms and Conditions

• All guests must be at least 18 years of age or older and must be accompanied at all times by their sponsor.
• Daily Guest Passes can only be purchased by a sponsor. Sponsors are defined as a currently enrolled Main Campus Student or a UNC Greensboro affiliated, paying member of the Kaplan Center.
• Students and Kaplan Center members are allowed to have two guests per day.
• All guests must present their government issued photo ID, with proof of age, at the Kaplan Center Main Desk and sign a liability waiver form.
• Guest Passes entitle a non-member to access the facility on the date issued only.  Guests cannot sponsor other guests.
• Guest Passes are non-transferable and non-refundable.
• The guest’s sponsor assumes full responsibility for all actions and behaviors of their guest(s).
• If bringing in a minor as a guest, please see the Family Recreation policy.
• Please remember anyone under the age of 18 is not eligible to use the weight and cardio equipment.

2) Guest Pass Punch Card
Cost – $30 per card – for 5 guest visits, limit 2 guests per day (SOLD TO THE SPONSOR ONLY)

Terms and Conditions

• Guest Pass Punch cards can only be purchased by a sponsor and are issued in the sponsor’s name. Sponsors are defined as a currently enrolled Main Campus Student or a UNC Greensboro affiliated, paying member of the Kaplan Center.
• Each Guest Pass Punch card will cost $30. Each sponsor can purchase more than one card at a time.
• Each sponsor must present their UNC Greensboro ID card or Kaplan Center ID card with the Guest Pass Punch Card.
• Each sponsor may bring in up to two guests per day (each visit will be punched on a Guest Pass Punch Card for each guest) and each guest must be accompanied by their host at all times.
• All guests must be at least 18 years of age and present a government issued photo ID, with proof of age, and sign a liability waiver.
• If bringing a minor as a guest, please see the Family Recreation policy.
• Each card will expire one year from the date of purchase. There are no refunds on unused punches.
• This card is non-refundable, non-replaceable, and non-transferable.
• Please remember anyone under the age of 18 is not eligible to use the weight and cardio equipment.

Campus Visitor, Conferences, and Event Passes

Cost – varies; contact the Department of Recreation & Wellness at recwell@uncg.edu at least 10 days in advance with details of your event.

Terms and Conditions

• The University department that is sponsoring the visiting guest or participant must make arrangements with Recreation & Wellness at least 10 days prior to the event. The sponsoring department must provide a list of names of the guests or participants and must provide the dates that the guest may use the Kaplan Center.
• For individuals or small groups (10 or less) – the sponsoring department can either provide a list of names and dates or they can request that individual temporary passes can be made for the guest to use the facility.
• For large groups – the sponsoring department must provide a list of names of the guests or participants who wish to use the building and dates that the guests may use the Kaplan Center.
• Guest will check in at the Kaplan Center Main Desk each time they enter the facility.
• For individuals with temporary passes – the guest will need to show the temporary pass and a government issued photo ID or conference identifying badge.
• For large groups – The list of names and dates provided by the sponsoring department will be kept at the Kaplan Center Main Desk for the guest to check in with. All guests will need to show a government issued photo ID or conference identifying badge to enter the building.
• Payment can be made either by the individual guest or participant with cash, check, or credit card at the Recreation & Wellness Administrative Suite receptionist desk during business hours or the sponsoring department may pay the guest fee by interdepartmental invoice.

Faculty and Staff Day Pass

Cost – $8.00 per day

If you are a current UNC Greensboro Faculty and Staff member, you can purchase a Day Pass for the Kaplan Center. This one day pass will give you complete access to the Kaplan Center for that day. You are not required to have a sponsor or host to purchase this pass. To purchase the Day Pass, all you will need is your University ID Card and your University ID Number (89x-xx-xxxx). When you enter the Kaplan Center, show your ID card to the Facility Assistant and inform them you wish to purchase a Day Pass. The cost is $8 per day and the pass is only valid for the date of purchase. This one day pass will give you access to the Kaplan Center: weight room, fitness classes, basketball courts, etc. for the entire day. You may return to the Kaplan Center throughout the day, however you will be required to present your University ID and the Guest Pass receipt each time.

Terms and Conditions

• UNC Greensboro Faculty/Staff member must be as least 18 years of age to purchase a Faculty/Staff day pass.
• You must present a valid University ID card and provide your University ID number in order to purchase a Faculty/Staff day pass.
• Faculty/Staff Day Pass entitles a non-member to access the facility only for the date issued.
• UNC Greensboro Faculty/Staff may not sponsor any additional guests when they are utilizing the facility with a Faculty/Staff Day Pass.
• The Faculty/Staff Day Pass does not allow you to participate in the Intramural or Club Sports Programs.
• Faculty/Staff Day Passe are non-transferable and non-refundable.
• Only currently employed UNC Greensboro Faculty and Staff may purchase a Faculty/Staff Day Pass.

Alumni Day Pass

Cost – $8.00 per day

If you are a UNC Greensboro Alumni and are in town for a short stay and want to workout at the Kaplan Center, you can purchase an Alumni Day Pass. You will need to come by or call the Recreation & Wellness Administrative Suite during business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm) to  have your graduation date verified and added to your Kaplan Center record.  A government issued photo ID is required to confirm your Alumni status. All individuals wishing to purchase an Alumni Day Pass will be required to sign a liability waiver.

Terms and Conditions

• UNC Greensboro Alumni must be as least 18 years of age to purchase an Alumni Day Pass.
• You must present a government issued photo ID card in order to purchase an Alumni Day Pass.
• The Alumni Day Pass entitles a non-member to access the facility only for the date(s) issued.
• UNC Greensboro Alumni may not sponsor any additional guests when they are utilizing the facility with an Alumni Day Pass.
• The Alumni Day Pass does not allow you to participate in the Competitive Sports Programming.
• Alumni Day Passes are non-transferable and non-refundable.
