Kayak Pool Sessions
Want to try your hand at paddling a kayak? Already know how to paddle, but want to work on your kayak roll? Outdoor Adventure’s weekly kayak pool sessions have opportunities for all skill levels! Pool sessions take place in the Kaplan Center Natatorium.
For those of you who are new to the sport of kayaking, our experienced and talented staff will walk you through crucial skills such as paddle strokes, how to safely exit a capsized kayak (wet exit), assisted rescues, and the proper technique for the kayak roll (independently rolling yourself upright after capsizing). This is a controlled environment that is idea for you to practice your skills. All of these skills are transferable and useful in joining Outdoor Adventures on upcoming kayaking trips. Hurry down to the pool to warm up for your next kayaking adventure!
Please note that kayak pool sessions are drop-in format, therefore, no advanced reservations are needed. Whether you come for a half-hour or all two hours is up to you.
